The UK government has announced a referendum on whether Britain should remain in the European Union to be held on Thursday 23 June. This is probably the most important decision the British public has faced in decades! The public debate is already heating up, with many media outlets commenting, and stakeholders taking views publicly.
What impact will this have on the British society, more specifically its insurance industry and the actuarial profession? How should we as actuaries and students cope with these potential impacts and what can we contribute? Are you thinking? Great! CANUK would like to invite you to come and join the discussion with IFoA’s EU Referendum Working Party, this would be a great opportunity to share your thoughts and find out more.

Thereafter he specialised in EU Public Affairs Management, representing a wide variety of sectors and companies (such as Tesco PLC, Royal Mail Group PLC, and British American Tobacco PLC) to the EU institutions and stakeholders. He also lived in China, where he defended the interests of UK and other European companies towards the Chinese Government.
Currently, he is –on the side- studying to obtain a Masters in Business Administration. He lives in London and loves to explore the UK, and also restore – hopefully beautifully! – antique furniture.
